Cloud Mail

The Pictures that I took for the composition project were of my mail box in my front yard. I do believe that the second picture is by far better by using the Rule of Thirds. It adds so much more to the photograph. I chose to use the bottom right part of the grid because I read that keeping the horizon lower in the picture will look a lot better, and there were some trees to the right next to the road that I think would have been a distraction. I think that this true because the clouds give a great back ground.

  1. Hi Chad - This is a great illustration of how much the Rule of Third can affect a picture! The first photo is fine, but the second is definitely much better. It also may have been because you took it from farther away, but I think the placement of the mailbox really makes it. Great job!

  2. Chad, I find all the composition pictures much better than the centered one....it gives much more of a persepective on the object.

  3. Its really interesting how a slight change in where an object is placed in a picture can change the whole thing. I really like the second picture of the mailbox the best... good job!!
